Types of Housing

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Shared homes can support people who need help with daily living. SIL is the support delivered in the home and is separate from rent and day-to-day living costs.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

Purpose-built homes for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA is the specialist housing itself and is separate from daily support delivered in the home.

Short-term respite

A planned stay with daily support, not a holiday. For a Brisbane stay, use the Brisbane respite page.
